Privacy Policy
What we collect through the enquiry form, what we do with it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.
Northbound IT collects only the information you choose to share through this site's enquiry form: your name, your company or business name, your email address, and optionally your phone number and a short message about what you need.
Filling in the form is voluntary. We need your name and your email address to reply, so if those are left out we have no way to come back to you. Your phone number and message are optional.
We use that information for one purpose. To reply to your enquiry and work out whether we can help. We don't sell your data, we don't run third-party advertising trackers on this site, and we won't add you to a marketing list without your say-so.
We keep your enquiry for as long as we are in contact about it, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you would like us to delete what we hold about you, email info@northboundit.co.za and we will.
This site is hosted by Netlify. When you send the enquiry form your details are stored on Netlify's systems and a copy reaches our inbox, which runs on Google Workspace. Both of those sit outside South Africa. POPIA allows personal information to leave the country where the receiving party is bound by law or by agreement to protect it to a standard comparable to POPIA, and we rely on our service agreements with Netlify and Google for that. We do not send your information anywhere else.
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it and object to us processing it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. They can be reached at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za or on 010 023 5200. Their site is inforegulator.org.za.
